Bookkeeping built for family entertainment centers.

Running an FEC is not like running a regular small business, and your books shouldn't be treated like one. Between party deposits, gift cards, redemption prizes, food and beverage, and a dozen income streams that all behave differently, generic bookkeeping falls apart fast. We do this all day. We know where the money hides and how to track it so your numbers actually mean something.

The FEC difference

Not generalists. We live in this world.

We're not generalists who added "entertainment" to a list of industries. My husband has run family entertainment centers for years, so I've watched the business up close and kept the books behind it. We understand what it takes to run a profitable FEC, not just record the transactions. That means we already know the things you would otherwise have to explain:

  • Deferred revenue on party deposits and gift cards, so income lands in the right month instead of inflating a good week and gutting a slow one.
  • Multiple income streams tracked against their own costs, so you can see whether attractions, food, redemption, and events are each actually making money.
  • Seasonality, so a slow July and a packed winter both make sense on paper and you can plan around them.

When your books are set up this way, you stop guessing. You know which parts of your business are carrying you and which are quietly draining you.

The services we offer

Our core service

Monthly Bookkeeping

This is where we keep you out of the guessing game. Every month we record your transactions, reconcile your accounts, and hand you clean reports so you always know where you stand. You make decisions based on current, accurate numbers instead of a gut feeling or a bank balance.

Diagnostic Review

A fresh set of expert eyes on your existing QuickBooks. We look for glaring holes, missed deductions, and income that's been counted twice. You walk away knowing exactly what shape your books are really in.

Catch-Up Bookkeeping

Behind on your books? It happens, especially in this business. We get you caught up so you're ready for tax time and back in control of your numbers.

Clean-Up Bookkeeping

If you've been doing it yourself and you're not sure it's right, we'll find what's off and fix it, so you can actually trust your financial data again.

How to get started

The first step is simple: tell us about your business.

About

Hi, I'm Christie.

I've been a bookkeeper since 2015 and a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor, and a small business owner myself for years, so I know what it takes to turn an idea into a real, working business, and how much there is to juggle once it's running.

Family entertainment centers hold a special place for me. My husband has run FECs for years, so I've seen this business from the inside: the busy weekends, the seasonal swings, the dozen income streams that all need to be tracked differently. I understand what it takes to run a profitable FEC, not just how to record the numbers. That's a perspective most bookkeepers simply don't have.

At heart, I love being a cheerleader for other small business owners. When your books are clear and current, you get to make confident decisions and focus on growing the business you set out to build. I'd love to help you do exactly that.

FAQ

Questions FEC owners ask us

What areas do you serve?
We work entirely remotely and serve family entertainment centers across the United States. Wherever your FEC is located, we can keep your books.
Do you only work with FECs?
Family entertainment centers and the experience-economy businesses around them, escape rooms, VR gaming, laser tag, golf, and arcades, are our specialty. We also work with other small businesses.
What accounting software do you use?
We work in QuickBooks Online. Christie is a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor.
How much does bookkeeping for an FEC cost?
Every FEC is a little different, so we build a custom plan for each client. Most land within the ranges shown in our pricing section above. Once we understand your setup, we give you a real number.
Do you file or prepare taxes?
We don't file taxes, but we keep your books clean and tax-ready so filing is smooth. We're also happy to connect you with a quality CPA or tax preparer if you need one.
Is there a long-term contract?
We work month-to-month, with a flat monthly fee due at the beginning of each month. No hourly billing and no long-term contract. A fixed monthly rate means no surprise invoices: you know exactly what bookkeeping will cost, it's easy to budget for, and you never have to think twice about reaching out with a question.
What if I'm behind on my books?
That's common in this business, and it's fixable. The first step is a diagnostic review to see whether any clean-up or catch-up work is needed. From there we get you to an accurate starting point and keep you current every month.
How involved do I need to be each month?
You'll be more involved at the beginning while we get to know your business. After a few months, the questions taper off. We're not mind readers, though, so we'll usually still have a few questions for you each month. We use software that keeps this quick and efficient. Plan on about 30 minutes a month working with us to close your books.
What's the next step?
The first step is simple. Fill out our quick intake form, and we'll set up your consultation from there. No pressure, no jargon.
